The brief aimed was to design a new food or drink brand by mixing two unexpected ingredients or flavours. Hanabi is more than a mouthful; it is a new experience of eating chocolate. Hanabi is dark chocolate Sake-infused with Dragon Fruit crunch. The word Hanabi means fireworks in Japanese; the flavours create an explosion of tastes in the mouth. Hanabi logo is inspired by Japanese characters. The colour palette is based on the use of blue in traditional Sake bottles, while the magenta shape represents the Dragon Fruit and Mexican colourful traditional patterns. The minimalistic packaging aesthetic addresses us to a contemporary product and the simplicity of Japanese design.
